The first 48 hours after a windshield replacement are critical. Each vehicle leaves our shop with a tag hanging on the rear view mirror. The instructions are printed out for your aftercare. Failure to follow these instructions may lead to issues.
Aftercare Instructions:
Do Not Slam the Doors.
Leave 1 window open slightly to release the pressure in the cab.
Do Not Wash the vehicle. High pressure water will cause a hole in the adhesive.
Leave Blue Tape (if applicable) in place. This keeps the glass in place until the bond is set.
Slamming the doors or not leaving a window open will cause a hole in the adhesive creating a leak...
